7 ½’- 9’ tree  3 clusters

12’ and above  5 clusters

3 to 5 each of different leaves, berries or stems with height and texture, florals. For example, 3 sprays and 2 florals

A main or showstopper ribbon, a second textural ribbon and sometimes a third smaller accent ribbon. (10 yd roll, double the quantity for 5 yd roll)

7 ½’ tree  2-3 rolls of each

9’ tree 3-4 rolls of each

12’  tree 5-6 rolls of each

Use your tree as a rule of thumb. I generally choose 2-3 of each style.

Large ornaments, 2-3 different styles

Specialty ornaments are really more of a personal choice, 2-3 depending on styles available.       

Even if your tree is prelit, I add at least another 100 lights per foot of tree.

Twinkle lights are a beautiful addition to the traditional ones.
